2016

Fantastic News.We are the charity of the show for the 2016 Community Mutual Dubbo Show in May.

Thank you very much Dubbo Show Society for accepting us.

What a very busy time we had leading up to the event to get all our fundraising and promotions organised. We were thankful to have Melbourne Audiologist Hung To offer to provide free hearing testing for the week in Dubbo along with ear health checks at the show.
We were very thankful to our Treasurers sister Rhonda Redenbach who volunteered over 100 man hours to sew our new life size healthy ears puppets in time for the show.
One of the highlights of our weekend was the massive amount of prevention and awareness we were able to provide for our community.
We raised over $6000 for the show weekend. Thank you to all the town HoH volunteers who helped over the weekend.

Charity Golf Day

A beautiful day in August with spring like weather to help raise money for us and our parent group Dubbo and District Deaf Club. We had 100 golfers. They were all in for a surprise as we have one green when they were challenged to wear ear muffs to 'feel'what it is like to have a hearing loss and play golf at the same time!
We were fortunate to have our new Ear Bus on display for the day thanks to Sainsbury Automotive, Dubbo.
We also provided free hearing checks for the golfers and let them use our video otoscope to view what their eardrum looks like! Lots of "ewww look at all the wax!"
Thank you to all who contributed to the success of the day. We raised over $2000

Why not help another charity!
HoH and DDDC joined forces to help run a park run in April.

Its that spooky time of the year again!
Big Sam and Lucy were very excited to attend their very first Halloween at St Laurence's Primary Dubbo. We were excited to be able to bring our Ear Bus for the first time. It even had special number plates for the event!
