Hear Our Heart Himalayan Expedition 2014. An adventure to the wild side of Everest and back and all the way back in March and April 2014 our very own committee member Josh Edwards set out to climb not one but two Himalayan peaks near Everest. Both peaks Mera and Island Peak soar into the heavens at well over 6000 meters or 20 000 feet!!! We are pleased to report that Josh has climbed both and in the process crossing one of the most dangerous high passes in the Himalaya, The infamous Amphu Labsta at almost 6000 meters above sea level. Josh came to hear our heart after attending one of our gala balls back in 2012 and has been inspired ever since. It was a mission for Josh to raise money for the project and in the end he raised $6000 before he left and has raised $1500 on his return!!! Josh is planning another expedition soon and is seeking sponsors to help him finance his expeditions. All of his expeditions will be in conjunction with Ear Bus Project. Josh has also been speaking to other community groups including Rotaract and Independent Retirees Association. If you would like to hear some of Josh's quite astounding stories, email josh.edwards2@bigpond.com

Josh was Trained by Fisique Health and Fitness Professionals for this arduous expedition. Josh still trains with the friendly team today and recommends their services be it weight loss, personal training programs etc "Fisique were the cornerstone of all things that resonate success for the expedition, I couldn't have done it without Peter Brown and Megan Casserly...they were fantastic!!!" So far Fisique have raised well over $1000 for our project by running monthly charity workouts. Visit www.fisique.com.au for more info...

Its THAT time of the year again.................

Our Audiometrist, Gordon Rutter, will be there to give free ear health checks.
This involves checking the eardrum with a special ear torch (Otoscope) and checking to see if the ear drum is moving as it should with a machine called a Tympanometer.Of course, signed Parent permission is required for this which you can do on the night.

To start the ticket sales the girls from the Tamworth Branch, led by talented Country Music Singer Kate Baylis,  worked hard during the Tamworth Country Music Festival week to make a display and sell tickets.

What an awesome effort. They sold $740 worth of tickets

This has set the standard for the girls in the Dubbo Branch....... Brenda Moon has been busy trying to rev up ticket sales to catch up to Tamworth :)
