Our project was created in 2012 by volunteers, and is still powered by volunteers today.

Our volunteers are a work of heart!

We welcome volunteers from anywhere in Australia to join our committee.
Location is not a boundry to be able to help as there is always something happening in the background that can be done remotely. 

Our volunteer committee communicate via a group chat to share tasks and make decisions as needed adn meet via Teams 4-6 times a year.
 
Our role is to fundraise, promote the project, pick up donations from schools, write newsletters, help run  our social media, radio and tv interviews, apply for grants and liaise with other community clubs like Rotary, Lions etc. We help other local clubs at their events and recieve donations for this. We support the Hear our Heart staff when needed with office duties and attending hearing testing clinics during school holidays. 

We follow the constitution of Dubbo and District Deaf Club .

​Volunteer Clinicians come to provide hearing testing for us as well throughout the year. We have some regulars that come every year
